Recidence permit cards for non-EU and non-EEA citizens

On May 20, 2011 Sweden introduced residence permit cards (UT cards). The card is proof that a person has obtained a residence permit. To get a UT card, the applicant must submit biometric information in the form of a photograph and finger prints. To make it easier for applicants, the Swedish Migration Board has decided that people who do not need an entry visa and have been granted residence permits may enter Sweden and have their UT card issued here. You do this by visiting the Migration Office, where you will take a photo, leave finger prints, order the UT card, and so on.
