What to pack

There are some things that we recommend you to bring:

  • A mobile phone

On arrival you will be provided with a Swedish SIM-card and a phone number. The SIM-card is compatible with most GSM mobile phones that are not carrier locked and support the European GSM net.

  • Your passport

It is wise, even if you are a European citizen, to bring your passport. It might come in handy when travelling to neighbouring countries, when opening a bank account and so forth.

  • Twisted cable

All student housing has got free Internet connection, but you need a twisted cable in order to connect. If you bring a twisted cable, you can get online quickly after arrival. There is no wireless connection in the rooms.

  • One set of towels and bed linen

The University provides you with a mattress for your bed, but there are no pillows, covers or bed linen. ESN Örebro will arrange a trip to Ikea, in order for you to buy those things. But for the first night or nights, you need bed linen.

  • Medicines

If you are on prescribed medication it is very important that you bring enough medicine for the whole duration of your stay. The same medicine may not be available in Sweden.
