The International Master in robotics and intelligent systems at Örebro University is an exciting 2 year study programme for students with a bachelor degree in a scientific and technological subject. It aims to give students a solid practical and theoretical knowledge in intelligent systems with a particular emphasis on robotics systems, and to prepare them for a career in modernized industry, service organizations or academia.
The program profiles itself in the fusion between cognition, control and perception. For this reason, first year courses focus on providing a broad theoretical basis in these three related fields. The second year is focused on project work and implementation both in groups (see the integrated project work) and individually. In particular we focus on the application of robotics in industrial contexts and how to program and implement a robotic or intelligent system. Students interested in applying should have strong programming skills (e.g., object oriented languages) as well as a solid background in mathematics.
