The research school is based on close collaboration between the universities engaged. The aim of the research school is primarily to provide a research education with a basic common orientation; focus on didactics, democracy and communication.

In addition, the research school is intended to be a particularly suited context for teachers' career paths, to be a place for meetings between different forms of knowledge and stakeholders where both representatives of the academy and practitioners are involved and to be a forum for regional cooperation and development in the teaching field.
