The library is a work and meeting place for university students, staff and other visitors. The library has got study rooms, individual study areas, group rooms and quiet reading rooms to meet the varying needs of learning environments. To create the best possible environment for study and work, the following apply:
• Visitors are required to behave in a non disturbing manner and not in any way hinder library activities.
• Remember to keep your voice at a level where you do not disturb other visitors.
• In the quiet reading room on floor one you must be silent. Laptops and mobile phones may not be used there.
• No meals may be consumed in the library. Fruit, sweets and beverages are allowed. Paper cups and other litter must be disposed of in the bins. It is not allowed to bring any food or drink into the library's research archive.
• Avoid moving the library furniture.
• It is not permitted to unplug cables from electrical outlets to power your laptop. Use tables with power outlets.
• Library materials should be handled with care. It is not allowed to make notes or underline in library books.
• Library computers may be used only in accordance with SUNET's ethical rules.
• Anyone who repeatedly violates the library rules and disrupt activities in the library may be banned from the library under the Higher Education Act (SFS 1993:100) Chapter 10, $ 1, paragraph 3. Decisions on this matter are made by the Chief Librarian.
