Do I have to publish?

After uploading your thesis file, click on the filename (normally "FULLTEXT01") and check the box "Should not be published". The file will be archived but will not be searchable from the Internet.

Dissertations, posting

The posting makes the time and the date of defence public. The electronic posting is mandatory (see the headmaster's decision here ) and should contain the place and the date of the actual defence of the thesis together with an abstract. The posting has to be made at the latest three weeks prior to the day of the defence.

The posting is created in the Academic Archive On Line (Swedish acronym: DiVA) by the staff at the deparment for electronic publishing when the date of defence has been decided by the faculty. The webaddress is then emailed to the author.

The author may choose to publish the dissertation as 'full-text' or as a comprehensive summary.

Full-text publishing will increase the visibility and possibly the impact of the thesis. The author keeps the copyright but gives, by signing an agreement, Örebro University the right to publish it electronically.

How to register your research in DiVA

All research done at Örebro University must be registered in DiVA. The records are exported daily to the Swedish national database for publicly financed research, SwePub.
