Looking for books

  • How do I search for a book?
Go to the library catalogue. Click “Search”. Type in the author’s name or a couple of words from the title. Click “Search” again. If you are looking for a book within a particular subject, type in the name of this subject.
  • Has the library got all course literature?
There are at least two copies of every course book on the A, B and C levels, and at least one copy of every course book on the D level. There is also a reference copy of each item of course literature on all four levels. The books are grouped by subject and can be searched for in the catalogue.
  • Say that all the copies of a course book are out on loan — is there a reference copy?
Yes, there is a reference copy of every course book. You will find these copies on the shelf beside the books that can be borrowed. Reference copies cannot be taken out of the library.
  • Where do I find dissertations?
    Use the library catalogue.
  • Which essays does the library have?
The library keeps a majority of the printed C- and D-level essays written at the university 2002-2005. You can search for them in the catalogue. Write the word “uppsats” and your subject heading in the search form. From 2006 and onwards, electronic versions are published in DIVA - if the authors themselves register them.
