Environmental chemistry & health and Ecotoxicology

Our research is centered around:

Environmental chemistry

  • Organic toxic agents in the environment: Occurrence, stability, analysis. Human exposure and uptake of organic pollutants: Halogene compounds (dioxins, bromethers, PCBs, PFOS etc)

Environmental health

  • Exposure to persistent organic pollutants in relation to cancer risk

Ecotoxicology

  • Mechanism-specific bioanalytical studies of biotic and abiotic degradation and transformation of AhR agonists in the environment. Studies of perfluorinated compounds and dioxin-like compounds on avian embryonal development.
