To assess the competence and skill of the applicants, evaluations are gathered from external experts. The external expert’s report is a part of the selection process, which purpose is to help the University to make decisions in the recruitment and promotion process. As additional selection methods, Örebro University uses interviewing, the taking of references and an educational assignment (for example trial lectures/seminars). When assessing suitability, the University will base the decision on criteria such as the applicant’s collaborative skills, the personal attributes required to perform the duties in question and the ability to contribute to the development of university operations. 
 
In undertaking the assignment as an external expert, equal care shall be taken in assessing teaching expertise and research expertise. An assessment of each applicant’s teaching and research expertise shall be based on all available material in the application and consider all assessment criteria pertaining to the appointment in question and the duties which are described in the requirements profile/advertisement. 
 
In addition to the University’s regulations on the delegation of authority, the respective faculty board have agreed on guidelines with the specific assessment criteria of research-, artistic- and teaching expertise. It includes instructions of the assignment for external experts and how to present the report.  

It is important that you as an external expert have made an evaluation if there is any conflict of interest or bias in the appointment procedure. In relation to the applicants, employees, or others at Örebro University.

In ReachMee, a web-based recruitment system, you will find the profiles of the applicants and their applications. You will also find the requirements profile / advertisement which is to be used during evaluating the applicants.

To get the fee paid into your bank account, if you live in Sweden and have a BankID, you need to do the following registration at Danske Bank (this also applies if you have previously registered an account with Danske Bank):

Register your bank account at danskebank.se/lonetjanst. Select "Logga in" (Log in), "Ny betalningsmottagare?" (New payee) and fill in the information. Örebro University's customer number is 79154.

If you are resident outside of Sweden:  
Non-residents who come to Sweden for work pay special income tax (SINK). Therefore please send a copy of your passport as soon as possible so we can start the application for SINK. Please upload the copy of your passport via the link below:

If you do not have a Swedish bank account:
Use the form "Assignment fees" 
Fill in information about you and your assignment and information about your bankaccount with an IBAN and BIC/SWIFT number
or
Use a supplementary form for Notification of the account for payment of wages: "Danske bank konto för löneinsättning utländskt bankkonto", and send with the filled in form for Assignment fees.
