Digital exams in exam halls - practical information

Examinations are administered in our exam halls using your own laptop. Exams are digital and use WISEflow. You will need to install a dedicated browser (FLOWlock) on your laptop.

As a student, you are responsible for insuring that this installation is complete and performed in good time prior to your exam and that your laptop can connect to the university's wireless network.

Before your digital exam in exam halls, you have to

On the day of the exam

You must arrive at the exam hall for your exam no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam, to identify yourself, find your seat, start your laptop and log in to WISEflow.

It is important during your exam to:

  1. Connect your laptop with a power cable during the entire exam.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi on all other mobile devices so that they do not access the wireless network.

Before the exam

Visit IT Services at Campus Örebro (Monday-Thursday 07:30–16:30 and Friday 07:30–16:15) for support in installing WISEflow, FLOWlock and/or support with eduroam.

If you do not have a laptop that meets the requirements, you may borrow one from the university. Notification must be received no later than 24 hours prior to your examination start. Notify us by email at digitaltenta@oru.se. Correct notification means that a laptop will installer at your seat in the exam hall in time for the exam.

During the exam

The support team can confirm that if you have downloaded the FLOWlock browser and if you have tested it.

If you arrive at the exam lacking the necessary examination preparations or if your laptop is not correctly configured and connected to eduroam, you will be referred to a second start-time (30 minutes after the original exam starts). You will then have half an hour to install the dedicated browser. Note: 30 minutes will be deducted from your examination time.

In the exam hall at your seat, you will find instructions on how to get access your exam. There are also invigilators and exam hosts in the exam hall. The exam host is there to help you if there are technical problems with your laptop or your exam during examination time. There are also extra laptops which you may borrow, in case your laptop ceases to function during the exam. You will then be able to continue your exam where you left off prior to the incident.
