Maria Ojala är doktor i psykologi och forskare vid Örebro Universitet. Hon är projektledare för två projekt:

(1) "Learning about global environmental problems: Emotional aspects, emotion regulation, and a sense of purpose among children, adolescents, and young adults" finansierad av Formas (2008-2010).

(2) "Att hantera det ambivalenta. Unga vuxnas attityder och beteende gällande energieffektivisering i hemmet" finansierad av Göteborg Energis forskningsstiftelse (2008-2009). Forskningsintressen: miljöpsykologi, moralpsykologi, politisk socialisation, emotionsteorier och coping.
