Karin Hedström är docent i informatik vid Örebro universitet. Karin fick sin doktorsexamen i informatik vid Linköpings universitet. Hennes forskningsintressen omfattar områden som informationssäkerhet och e-förvaltning. Hennes forskning om värden avseende informationssäkerhet och e-förvaltning, har rapporterats i en mängd olika internationella konferenser och tidskrifter. Hon är för närvarande också fungerar som pro-dekan för fakultetsnämnden för ekonomi, natur och teknik (ENT).
