Ann-Sofie Jonsson is the School management Administrator at the School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Meal Science, Campus Grythyttan.


Ann-Sofie Jonsson have a PhD in Culinary Arts and Meal Science and have been part of the Successful Aging research School at Örebro university.

The overall aim of the doctoral project was to explore how the notion of hospitality could be used as a perspective to understand the meal provision within a hospital frame. The intention through this exploration was to contribute to the understandings of meal provision and experiences of these during hospital stay from the perspectives of both patients (>65 years of age) and staff.

Ann-Sofie also has a master in public health nutrition and a bachelor in psychology with an emphasis towards health. Before she started her Phd studies she worked as a lecturer in Public health at Mälardalens University and Halmstad University. Her main interest is within public health/Meal science and how meals is communicated, understood and experienced within the health care arena.
