Emilene Leite

About Emilene Leite

Emilene Leite is a senior lecturer at Örebro University School of Business and active within the sectors for International Business and Marketing. She serves as a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), the European International Business Academy (EIBA), and Industrial Marketing Purchase Group (IMP). She got her Ph.D. from Uppsala University and she is also an alumni of the Nordic Research School of International Business (Nord-IB). During her doctoral studies, Emilene had visiting position at Virginia Tech (US) and Columbia University (US). Emilene also acts as Associate Editor of International Business at the Brazilian Administration Review Journal.

Dr. Emilene’s research interests include business relationships in an international context as well as firms’ collaboration with government and civil society i.e., non-business actors. Her current research focuses on two core areas: a) why and how firms engage in cooperative and competitive relationships and what are the implications of these relationships in the firms’ innovation process? She is particularly interested in understanding the interplay between cooperation and competition within multinationals. And b) how companies, government, and civil society interact to organize projects for social impact?

Emilene's research has been published in journals, including Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Management International Review and Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing.

 

Pedagogical Activities:

Emilene teaches both bachelor and master courses in Culture and Leadership (Head teacher), International B2B Week (head teacher), Global Marketing (teacher), International Management (teacher), Industrial Marketing (teacher), Business in Society (teacher), International Marketing (teacher), Brand Management (teacher), Marketing (teacher).
