About Hung Tran

Hung Tran received his Master Degree (2016) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Leuven, Belgium. His dissertation was about characterization of a neuronal protein UNC79, which can induce membrane curvature, and determines neuronal excitability.

Hung Tran is doing his doctoral study at the Molecular Flavivirus research group, iRiSC, Örebro University. His research interests are focusing on the identification and characterization of interactions between Flavivirus (Langat, Kunjin and Zika viruses) and the host cell proteins using either viruses or replicons. Furthermore, he develops vaccines based on Flavivirus replicons.
