Karin Alnervik works as a lecturer in pedagogy at the Institution for Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. She has previously worked as a lecturer in pedagogy at the School of Education and Communication in Jönköping and has been project manager / research leader in the preschool of Malmö city.

Research

Alnervik's research mainly focuses on changed work in the preschool, where preschool teachers' work on pedagogical documentation, such as communicative and change-creating tools, has been of central research interest. Another research interest is linked to pre-school education where Alnervik is primarily interested in preschool teachers' involvement in children's exploration (which is linked to pedagogical documentation)

Teaching

Karin teaches on the preschool teacher program, but the main task is to develop the work with practically related research in preschool together with neighboring municipalities.

Collaborations and assignments

In collaboration with a municipality, Alnervik follows, supervises and analyzes the didactic and organizational preparations in the construction of a larger preschool. This follow-up research / action research is a management assignment where Alnervik is both tasked with contributing current research as support during the process, and analyzing the same.
