Lisa Salmonsson

About Lisa Salmonsson

Lisa was awarded a PhD in Sociology in 2014 from Uppsala University. Her research intrerest are primarily in sociology of work and sociology of migration. She has reserached issues of labour maket integration, segregation, skilled immigration and unaccompanied youth. Lisa was the chair of the Swedish migration research association 2016-2018 (IMER-förbundet).


During 2015-2016 she was externally funded for a project on the consequences of segregation from a church perspective.

During her PhD project (2009-2014) she was studying international medical graduates on the Swedish labor market and expanded the theoretical tradition of sociology of professions by applying a social-psychological understanding of professional integration and boundary work.


She mainly teach courses in the field of sociology of work and organizations and qualitative methods on different levels and programes.
