About Sebastian Svenberg
Sebastian Svenberg has a PhD in sociology and is affiliated with the Environmental Sociology Section. The aim of Sebastian’s doctoral dissertation (2021) was to understand economic democracy in terms of a struggle for institutional change, with a focus on historical collective action. The quest to deepen the understanding of insitutional change relates to and understanding global challenges today and the struggles over decision-making in production and economy that occurs in relation to the climate crisis. Prior to commencing his PhD studies, he has been Assistant Researcher on diverse projects, focusing on social movements, urban development, climate politics and nuclear waste management.
Areas of research: Social movements, Environmental sociology, Economic sociology, Social Ontology
Current Teaching: Classical Sociological Theory, the Welfare State, Organization Theory, Academic Litterature reviews.
