About Tannaz Ghaffarzadegan

Tannaz Ghaffarzadegan is a postdoctoral researcher at Man Technology-Environment (MTM) Research Centre at Örebro University. She has a PhD in Applied Nutrition from Lund University, following a postdoctoral position from department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition at Lund University. During her PhD and postdoctoral position, she mainly focused on exploring the effects of prebiotics food components on bile acids metabolism in rodents and humans and how bile acids profile may affect disease progressions such as Alzheimer’s disease. She also developed extraction technique (HF-LPME) and analytical methods (GC and UHPLC/QTOF) for quantification of bile acids. Tannaz Ghaffarzadegan joined Örebro University as a part of metabolomic research group focusing on the links between early life exposure to environmental chemicals and the pathogenesis of certain metabolic diseases.
