This group gathers around a research interest in the equality architecture, understood as institutions (e.g. governmental bodies), organisations (e.g. academia) and policy (e.g. laws) promoting gender equality.

Intersectionality and the development of intersectionality theory is of special interest here, and the plus in gender+ implies that gender is understood as shaping and shaped by other inequality grounds, such as for example class, disability and ethnicity.

Empirical foci include women and science, violence against women, and men, masculinities  and violence.
