The research group carries out research on the relationship between disability and various facilitating and hindering conditions for an active working life for persons with disabilities. The research includes individual factors in such psychological and disability-specific conditions, as well as environmental factors such as how work is organized and how labour market policy is designed, among other things, various forms of support such as supported employment. Environmental factors also include the attitudes, knowledge and understanding and treatment of persons with disabilities. Analyses are focusing the interaction between individual factors and circumstances of the person's environment.

The research team hosts the Swedish Network for Research on Disability and Work (SNOFA) funded by Forte.

The research team is working closely with key stake holders in the field such as Activa foundation and National Network for Coordinating federals in Sweden.
