Research subject

The number of cancer survivors of working age has been growing in the developed world and this has been influenced by improvements in cancer detection and survival, as well as an increase in the age that people retire. This study aims to identify risk of adverse employment outcomes for cancer survivors, and influences of socioeconomic/demographic/work characteristics and health on the associations. This national register-based study will explore how personal and disease characteristics, as well as social advantages and disadvantages are associated with employment outcomes after return to work following a cancer diagnosis.
