The significance of a powered wheelchair: focus on elderly users, next of kin and cost-effectiveness

This research project is about significance of a powered wheelchair prescribed to elderly people. Two studies have been published. One with the aim to explore the effect of using a powered wheelchair on older peoples' activity, participation and quality of life. The other study has the aim to analyse cost-effectiveness of prescribing powered wheelchairs to elderly users. An ongoing study explores elderly spouses experiences of powered wheelchairs used by their next of kin.
