About this project
This research project was designed in collaboration between researchers in Public Health at Örebro University and the public health administration of Karlskoga and Degerfors municipalities.
The project aims to develop a coherent strategy for family support which is then spread as a good example locally, regionally and nationally. The project has had a special focus on families with children aged 10-20 years. The aim was to highlight the family support activities undertaken and desired, find successful forms of cooperation, and gain knowledge of effective communication in order to create better conditions for family support for all parents.
A distinctive feature of the research is the participatory approach which aims at involving different interested parties, like youths, parents and stakeholders, in the development of knowledge.
The research project includes three main parts, Monitoring, Needs assessment, and Collaboration, communication and methods for creating a strategy for family support for all.
