Research Subject

People's reactions and needs in traumatic situations is an urgent field for research for many, including affected people, health care staff and the society. In this project, the focus has been on the acute phase of a tramatic event, and many of the studies have focused on how to support victims and staff in a prehospital setting. In one study, the use of crisis support intervention to emergency and ambulance personnel was studied. In another, ambulance managers´ attitudes towards traumatic events and support to staff were explored and a third study investigated ambulance nurses' experiences in supporting relatives after suicides.
