Practicebased research project with govermental support for experiential research in which universities and schools co-operate in development projects. Principal, Special educational needs coordinator and teachers in a special needs upper secondary school collaborate together with students in developing models for accessible learning environment in a pedagogical, social and physical sense. The project is based on action research in which schoolparticipants and researchers are regardes as equals. The empirical material is collected by the participants themselves and consists of taped reflections and filmsequences of teaching material and rooms. The participants then decide what to use in developing models of access in the learning environment.
