Quality assurance procedures

As part of our quality assurance procedures, Örebro University School of Business is working to achieve accreditation by AACSB  (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), which is the largest international accreditation authority for education for business schools.

AACSB Accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Less than 5 percent of the more than 16,000 schools worldwide granting business degrees have earned AACSB Accreditation.

AACSB International is a global association of leaders in education and business dedicated to supporting and advancing quality business education worldwide. Through membership, accreditation, research, thought leadership, professional development, and advocacy, AACSB partners with over 1,500 organizations, from more than 90 countries globally. Membership or participation in the Global Education Alliance does not imply accreditation.

All four subjects that Örebro University School of Business offers have been awarded "High Quality" in the most recent evaluations made by the Swedish Higher Education Authority in 2012-2014.

The Swedish Higher Education Authority's function is to monitor the quality of Swedish higher education. They analyse and follow up the development of the higher education institutions, and ensure that students' rights are respected. During 2016-2022, the Swedish Higher Education Authority will audit the doctoral programmes at Örebro University School of Business.


The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) is a United Nations-supported initiative founded in 2007 as a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in schools around the world, and to equip today's business students with the understanding and ability to deliver change tomorrow.

As a voluntary initiative with over 650 signatories worldwide, PRME has become the largest organised relationship between the United Nations and management-related higher education institutions.

PRME:s mission
The mission of PRME is to transform management education, research and thought leadership globally by providing the Principles for Responsible Management Education framework, developing learning communities and promoting awareness about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
