Note-Taking Action Research Project

This form is for upper-secondary school teachers of English who are interested in participating in an action research project organized by Joseph Siegel, Senior Lecturer, School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Örebro University. By submitting this form, you express your intention to participate in the project.

The maximum number of participants is limited to 16. Participants will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Participants have the right to withdraw at any time for any reason. Participants who complete the project will receive a certificate of completion. The certificate will describe teacher participation and list pedagogic and researching skills developed.

The project will run from August through December, 2017. See the preliminary schedule below for a description of objectives and approximate dates. Workshops will be scheduled during normal working hours and take place at Örebro University.
Confirm that you plan to attend ALL 6 workshop sessions: *
Your principal should confirm that you will be able to (1) attend and prepare for the workshops, (2) develop and implement two pedagogic changes in your classroom during the fall term of 2017, and (3) collaborate in the development of data collection tools (questionnaires, interviews, and pre- and post-intervention tests) and use them to document effects of the interventions in your classrooms.
