This group conducts comprehensive research on the development of antisocial and criminal behavior. We aim to understand risk and protective factors on both individual, familial, and societal levels for the development of antisocial and criminal behavior, and psychopathology. We run several longitudinal and cross-sectional projects where we investigate for example psychosocial development and adaptation, the development of psychopathic traits, school performance and adjustment, etcetera. The overall aim of our research is to generate knowledge useful to efficiently assess and treat children and adolescents at risk for long-term negative consequences, such as criminality or psychiatric disorders.
