Dedicated food intervention studies

This research area will focus on well-controlled long-term intervention studies in specific subject groups in order to assess their gut, metabolic and mental health benefits, using selected dietary proteins and fibre sources based on the results of Areas 1, 2 and 3. The main activities of this research area are scheduled during 2023 and 2024.

This research area is led by Prof. Robert Brummer and associate leader Dr. Julia König at Örebro University (ORU). In addition to scientists from ORU, also main participating non-academic organisations such as  Lantmännen, Orkla AB, BioGaia AB, ICA and Swedish Food Federation (SFF) are involved.
