Course content

This course provides theoretical and practical instruction in presenting and discussing research results. The course aims primarily at according to outcome 6 in the general syllabus examining the doctoral student's ability in both national and international contexts to present and discuss research and research findings authoritatively in speech and writing and in dialogue with the academic community and society in general.

Course information

The course is carried out individually. To be able to attend the course, a presentation from an international conference must have been conducted recently. The course consists of writing a summary report on the conference, as well as a reflection on its own implementation and results. The summary report must be submitted one month after admission to the course. Course periods for autumn 2021, see the notification below.

Admission requirements

To gain access to the course and complete the examinations included in the course, the applicant must be admitted to doctoral education at Örebro University within one of the subject areas Medical Science, Disability Science or Sport Science.


Autumn 2021

Course period 1; ongoing.

Course period 2;  November- December. The deadline for submitting a written report is 12th December.
Last application date is the first of November, apply here  


Spring 2022

Course period 1; January-February. Last application date is 16th January. The deadline for submitting a written report is 22th February. Notification is closed.

Course period 2; April-May. Last application date is the first of April. The deadline for submitting a written report is 5th of May. Notification is closed.  

Note: The conference must have been completed before the submitted date for this course.
