Course content

This course provides theoretical and practical instruction in presenting and discussing research results. The course aims primarily at according to outcome 6 in the general syllabus examining the doctoral student's ability in both national and international contexts to present and discuss research and research findings authoritatively in speech and writing and in dialogue with the academic community and society in general.

Course information

As part of the course a presentation is to be carried out at an international conference. An oral presentation of the same topic as at the conference shall be carried out at a joint seminar organized by specialization coordinator. For the Autumn 2017, this presentation seminar will take place on September 19th, starting at 13:15 pm. The presentation should be in English, maximum 10 minutes, and with 10 minutes following discussion and reflection on the presentation.

Admission requirements

To gain access to the course and complete the examinations included in the course, the applicant must be admitted to doctoral education at Örebro University within one of the subject areas Medical Science, Disability Science or Sport Science, and have received a passing grade on the course Research Communication in Health and Medical Sciences I, 2.5 credits.
