Computer Science, Second Cycle, Advanced Technologies for Robotics, 15 Credits

This course consists of two modules: Multi Agent Systems and Planning & Scheduling. Multi Agent Systems focuses on coordination of autonomous entities - such as robots, software agents or humans. Practical relevance is shown based on examples of robot teams, agent-based simulation models and other applications. Planning & Scheduling is about giving decision-making systems (including robots) the ability to reason about time and resources. This has applications in many domains, from logistics to autonomous service robots, where a system must decide which actions to execute in order to achieve goals, and these actions may require interacting or moving in the real world in non-trivial ways.

When is the course offered?

Prerequisites: First-cycle degree of 180 credits, with Computer Science as the main field of study, and at least 15 credits in mathematics (analysis and algebra), or first-cycle degree of 180 credits, and at least 30 credits in mathematics (analysis and algebra), as well as at least 15 credits in Computer Science or Informatics (which includes programming). The applicant must also have qualifications corresponding to the course "English 6" or "English B" from the Swedish Upper Secondary School, as well as at least 7.5 credits from second-cycle courses that include programming.
