Computer Science, Second Cycle, Research Methodologies for Intelligent Systems, 30 Credits

This course consists of four modules, providing a comprehensive introduction of major concepts within AI and robotics.

Introduction: modern programming for intelligent robots, overview of the field, and ethics.

Sensors and Sensing: interpretation of motion and range data, and other sensors.

Modelling and Control: kinematics, dynamics, control and manipulation.

Machine Learning: state of the art methods for data modelling and machine learning, such as computer vision and speech recognition.

When is the course offered?

Prerequisites: First-cycle degree of 180 credits with Computer Science as the main field of study and 15 credits in mathematics (analysis and algebra). Or first-cycle degree of 180 credits and 30 credits in mathematics (analysis and algebra) as well as 15 credits in Computer Science or Informatics (which includes programming). The applicant must also have qualifications corresponding to the course "English 6" or "English B" from the Swedish Upper Secondary School.
