Doping, Narcotics and Forensic Science, 15 Credits
The course provides an opportunity to develop knowledge of intracellular communication, internal signal paths, biological defense, and plant and animal metabolism of toxins. The course covers aspects of applied toxicology that illustrate the use of substances of abuse and sports. Preparation physiological effects and mechanisms of action are reviewed. Moreover the course gives an insight into forensic techniques used to identify illicit substances.
