Film Studies: Theory, Method and Academic Writing, 7,5 Credits
The course offers an introduction to the genre of academic writing and how to design a research project in the area of film and media studies. Students learn about formulating academic aims and research problems, working with methods, theory, and the process of compiling, evaluating and synthesizing knowledge. Toward the end of the course, the student presents a draft of a research project, individually or in a pair, and tests his/her acquired knowledge by giving constructive critique to student colleagues' project drafts.
