Fees

Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, are required to pay application and tuition fees for studies in Sweden.

Application fee

Evaluation of your application requires payment of the application fee. The application fee covers the processing costs associated with an admission application. Evaluation is therefore conditioned on full payment of the application fee.

The application fee is 900 SEK.

Payment is processed during the online application service in “My pages” on universityadmissions.se once you are ready to submit your application.

Tuition fee

Universities and other higher education institutions set their own tuition fees. Tuition fees cover the full cost of studies. Therefore, fee levels may vary depending on the type and content of the course or programme.

Tuition fees at Örebro University

Tuition fees are specified on each programme webpage. Tuition fees do not cover costs for books, course material, accommodation or cost of living.

Upon notification of selection results, applicants admitted to a programme at Örebro University will receive an invoice for the tuition fee for the first semester. An invoice is sent each semester to the email address specified in the application. Tuition fees must be paid in advance and prior to beginning studies.

If a scholarship has been granted, the amount awarded will be deducted from the invoice accordingly.

Once the tuition fee for the first semester has been paid, the student may apply for a residence permit through the Swedish Migration Agency. Örebro University will automatically notify the Swedish Migration Agency when admitted students have paid the tuition fee.

A student required to pay tuition fees may complete a course or a degree programme without paying a tuition fee if the course or degree programme was commenced before 1 July 2011. If the studies are not completed by 31 December 2018, however, tuition fees are to be paid for the subsequent period.
