In this presentation, Andrea Lunsford will begin by focusing on the dialogic nature of rhetoric and on how rhetoric can help people talk respectfully with one another even when they have vast disagreements. Then her discussion will shift to rhetorical strategies for dealing with mis- and dis-information, "fake" news, and outright lies, especially in terms of teaching practices.  Finally, she will argue that rhetoric offers us ways not only of identifying, understanding, and analyzing false information but also of creating alternative, truth-ful messages that help to establish what she is calling narrative justice.

Föreläsningen hålls på engelska.
