Decarbonizing Logistics - the theme for Alan McKinnon’s lecture on the 29th of May.
Alan McKinnon has for the last 40 years been conducting research in the field of freight transport and logistics. His research also covers the link between logistics solutions and climate change, as well as the challenge of reducing environmental impact by making logistics activities less greenhouse gas intensive. Professor McKinnon’s research has not only been published extensively in journals and books, but he has also been advising governments, international organizations and firms. He was a member of the European Commission’s High Level Group on Logistics, Chairman of the World Economic Forum’s Logistics and Supply Chain Industry Council and a lead author of the transport chapter in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s fifth assessment report in 2014. Date and time
The lecture starts at 09:00 am on the 29 th of May. It will last approximately one hour and takes place in the Concert Hall (Konsertsalen) in the School of Music, Theatre and Art (Musikhögskolan). Afterwards, coffee and refreshments will be served in the foajé outside, with the opportunity to mingle and network. Note that the lecture will be held in English.
