How far is an alternative agenda for internationalisation possible?
Higher education has a societal role in developing interculturally competent citizens. In opposition to a neoliberal economic motive, we argue for an educational approach to internationalisation to foster engagement globally and locally for public good. Our earlier work has arrived at a framework for internationalisation and some questions.
The aim of this seminar is to take these questions as a stepping stone to stimulate a fruitful critical discussion for a possible alternative agenda for internationalisation, which may lead to further research. You are encouraged to participate orally or/and with use of the chat function during the seminar or just sit in and listen. As a preparatory stimulus you will get the chance to consider our set of questions beforehand. As this space does not allow them to be published, they will be sent to you on request () before the meeting. They will also be available at the seminar.
