Om Lars Pejryd

Lars Pejryd är professor i maskinteknik. Han har under mer än tre decennier bedrivit forskning om material och produktionsprocesser som används inom verkstadsindustrin. Han har forskat både som anställd inom universitetsvärlden och inom industrin. Med denna erfarenhet av att ha ett ben i varje läger är han sedan 2013 verksam vid Örebro universitet och arbetar med att bygga upp en stark forskning i samverkan med den omgivande industrin.

Lars Pejryds vetenskapliga produktion består av över 100 vetenskapliga artiklar samt tre patent, har främst varit inriktad mot material och processteknologi, för såväl framställning som bearbetning av material.

Vid Örebro universitet är forskningen inriktad mot  kopplingen mellan material och mekanik och därmed kunskapsuppbyggnad inom t.ex. hur materialegenskaperna påverkas av komponentgeometri (givet material och process). Detta för att skapa ett bättre stöd för konstruktionsprocessen. Processer som studeras är bl.a. additiv tillverkning, trådformning, formning och konvertering av förpackningsmaterial baserade på papper/kartong. Arbetet omfattar även utveckling och användning av datortomografimetoder (CT).
