Göran Eriksson has his background within Media and Communication Studies. He has written extensively in the areas of politics and media, mainly studying televised political interviews and representations of politics and journalism. His research also concerns historical studies of television. Studying forms of participation for ‘ordinary people’, constructions of ordinariness and forms of addressing and involving audiences, it focuses on the development of television genres and formats. His most recent papers deal with reality television and multimodal representations of working class participants.
