Code of conduct

Please follow these rules to ensure a pleasant study environment.

Noise levels

  • Please keep your voice low throughout the library. This is especially important in open areas such as group workspaces.
  • Use headphones or a headset when participating in online classes, digital meetings, or listening to music. Ensure that no sound leaks out. Headphones are available for loan at the information desk in the Main Library.

Food, snacks, and beverages

  • Eating meals is not permitted anywhere in the library, including group rooms, lecture halls, and study areas. Please use the student kitchen areas instead.
  • Light snacks (e.g., fruit, pastries, sandwiches, candy) are permitted.
  • Use containers with lids for both hot and cold drinks.

Cleanliness and tidiness

  • Please consider the next user and help maintain a clean and orderly environment. Take your trash, cups, and other items with you and dispose of them properly at one of the recycling stations.
  • Do not move sofas or armchairs. Return any chairs or desks you have moved to their original positions.
  • Treat the library’s premises, equipment, and materials with care.

Show consideration to allergy sufferers

  • Avoid perfume or other strongly scented products.
  • Animals are not permitted inside the library, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs.

Safety

  • Due to fire safety regulations, electric scooters are not permitted inside the library.
