Problems with EBSCO databases for certain users

During the autumn semester, we have received a number of incident reports regarding problems using databases from EBSCO.

The issue appears as the error message “HTTP Status 400 †Bad request” being displayed on the screen. Users who encounter this error are recommended to clear cookies, cache, and browser history in accordance with the instructions on this page.

When investigating the error, we have been able to identify in the logs what happens (a web address is being rewritten incorrectly). However, it is not possible to determine the cause of why this occurs, which makes the problem difficult to solve. A fault report has been submitted to EBSCO, but they have also been unable to resolve the issue.
