Interlibrary lending to other libraries
The University Library lends books and supplies copies of articles free of charge to publicly funded Swedish and Nordic libraries.
The following materials are not loaned to other libraries:
- Reference books
- Course books
- Newly published fiction
- Theses (for purchase and copying, please contact the institutions at the University)
- Periodicals (single issues or entire volumes)
- Books from our special collections
The standard loan period for books is three weeks. Loans are automatically renewed for additional loan periods thereafter (provided that no one has placed a request for the book). The maximum loan period is one year.
Copies of articles can be delivered either by email or by regular mail. When delivery is made by email, the article must, in accordance with current legislation, be printed and provided to the borrower in paper form.
Prices for interlibrary loans to external customers (companies and libraries outside the Nordic countries)
- Articles: SEK 80
- Books within the Nordic countries: free of charge
- Books outside the Nordic countries: 1.5 IFLA vouchers
The following categories are not charged:
- Libraries within Örebro County
- University and higher education libraries that do not charge us
- Libraries participating in the NORFRI cooperation
