About Ulrica Elfgren
Ulrica Elfgren is Acting Library Director and Manager of the Division for Teaching and Research Support at the University Library.
The organisation consists of two divisions: the Division for Teaching and Research Support, which includes the Medical Library at Campus USÖ, and the Division for Customer Service and Media, which includes the School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Meal Science Library at Campus Grythyttan and the Sheet Music Library.
Within the Division for Teaching and Research Support, we work with teaching and guiding students in academic information retrieval and academic writing, as well as reference management. We also provide training and support for the university’s researchers and doctoral students in areas such as information retrieval, systematic research reviews, academic writing, publication strategies, bibliometrics, and other research-support services.
The division includes the Medical Library at Campus USÖ. The Medical Library serves employees and students at Örebro University, as well as staff within Region Örebro County. We provide teaching and other research- and study-related support in areas such as information retrieval, reference management, systematic research reviews, publication strategies, and other research-support services. We also provide access to the region’s electronic books, journals, and databases through the Medical e-library.
The Division for Customer Service and Media is led by Manager Moa-Lisa Björk and coordinates the University Library’s external customer service through information desks and other contact channels. The division is responsible for loans, interlibrary loans, reading services for course books (Legimus), as well as for purchasing and providing access to the library’s printed and electronic collections. And is also responsible for the operation and support of the University Library’s digital systems. The team manages automation and the adaptation of new and existing processes within the University Library.
In addition, the division is responsible for communication and marketing, the library’s physical premises, and the university’s local publication databases. It also coordinates exhibitions and activities in the libraries and offers library tours to visitors.
