Coronavirus infected person visited University Open House 4 March

Region Örebro County has established this Sunday evening that a young person infected with the new coronavirus visited University Open House on 4 March at Örebro University.

The County calls on persons who participated in activities that day to be watchful for possible symptoms.

The University Open House for upper secondary pupils took place 4–5 March. Still, it is established that the visit took place on Wednesday 4 March.

As a precautionary measure, Region Örebro County is calling on those who visited or worked at the University Open House on 4 March at Örebro University to be watchful for possible symptoms. Upon signs of infection, infected persons should stay home and promptly contact 1177 (by phone) to receive further instructions regarding testing. These measures are in effect during the entire incubation period, in this case until 18 March.

Common symptoms are cough, respiratory illness and fever.

Those who have been in close contact with the infected person have been informed.
