Katja Fall new deputy vice-chancellor

Katja Fall will be Örebro University’s next deputy vice-chancellor, as decided by the university board.

Katja Fall, who will take up the post as deputy vice-chancellor responsible for research, is a physician and professor of clinical epidemiology with a particular focus on cancer diseases. She is a researcher and teacher in epidemiology and is vice dean responsible for doctoral education at the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

The role as deputy vice-chancellor includes responsibility as acting head of the university.

She will take up her post on 1 January 2026.
