Miljödata: No evidence of personal data leaks after cyberattack

It remains uncertain whether personal data was compromised after this weekend's cyberattack on the Adato rehabilitation system.
Miljödata, the company operating Adato, states there is no evidence to suggest that the attackers gained access to any data.
Adato is a system mainly used for managing sick leave. Örebro University is one of the many educational institutions, municipalities, and regions that utilise Adato.
The system stores personal data on individuals who are, or have been, employed at Örebro University. Students are therefore unaffected. Individuals with protected identities are anonymous within the systems, and their personal data remains confidential, even if data has been leaked.
Miljödata is investigating the systems to determine if any personal data has been compromised. On Wednesday morning, Miljödata stated that it had not yet found any evidence that the attackers had accessed any personal data.
During the investigation, the Adato system will remain unavailable. Other IT systems at Örebro University are operating as expected.
Miljödata has reported the cyberattack to the police. Örebro University has reported the incident to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
