Renewed quality seal for Örebro University

The European Commission renews Örebro University’s HR Excellence in Research award – a clear recognition of the university’s strategic and long-term efforts to create favourable conditions for researchers and to strengthen its attractiveness internationally.
Örebro University is currently in the renewal phase of the HR Excellence in Research award, which is based on the European Commission’s principles of attractive research careers as a way of fostering excellence. The work associated with the award contributes to an increased focus on improved conditions and opportunities for our researchers.
Following a site visit in early May, the European Commission has approved Örebro University's efforts to implement improvement measures. The renewal of the award means that the next follow-up will take place in three years.
"Proof that we are moving in the right direction"
“The renewal of the award is proof that we are moving in the right direction as an employer and in providing good conditions for researchers. There is always more to be done and ways to improve our efforts, and we will now consider the recommendations provided by the reviewers,” says University Director Louise Pålsson.
Examples of positives that are highlighted in the review include the university’s level of ambition, support for researchers from various parts of our professional services, positive effects of the work with NEOLAiA, and the fact that the HR Excellence efforts have been effectively integrated at the university.
The focus now is on the continued implementation of the latest action plan, taking into account the Commission’s recommendations.
